Startup.com 2.0

For those who have seen the documentary Startup.com, some background information on the two protagonists, their former company GovWorks.com, and what they are doing nowadays can be found on their old Public Data Systems Web site written by Tom Herman in a rather personal style. The other hero, Kaleil Tuzman, obviously tried to sell his »success story.«

The two work togther on a new project now, and the idea behind their latest venture, JumpTV, at least sounds highly interesting again.

Kaum besser als das ZDF ist die FIFA™^®© mit Ihrem Kartenmaterial zur WM™^®© (Landkarten, nicht Tickets). Auf deren offiziellen Website jedenfalls sind die deutschen Spielorte recht, nun ja, großzügig eingezeichnet. Da hierfür vermutlich Hauptsponsor Yahoo verantwortlich ist, war offenbar eine unterbezahlte Hilfskraft ein Praktikant in Sunnyvale geographisch etwas überfordert. Vielleicht gibts bei Yahoo aber auch nur ein Verbot zur Benutzung von Google Earth.
